Health care

• Coverage for you and your eligible family members begins on your first day of employment — no waiting period.
• Our extended health care benefits provide coverage for medical expenses that aren't covered through your provincial plan. The extended health care package includes semi-private hospital room coverage, diagnostic x-rays up to $500 and paramedical practitioners up to $500 with no deductible. Also included is a Pay-direct prescription drug benefit, which covers prescriptions at a $2 deductible each.
• Our vision plan covers eye examinations at up to $50 every 12 months (where not covered under your provincial plan) and coverage for frames/lenses or contact lenses at $200 per 24 consecutive months (for children under 18, $200 per 12 months).
• Our dental plan provides 100% coverage for preventative, endodontic and periodontic treatments, with major restorative treatments covered at 50% to a combined annual maximum of $2,000. Child orthodontics are covered at 50% to a lifetime maximum of $2,000.
• Emergency travel assistance is also provided through our extended health care benefit.

Life insurance

Through our group health care plan, associates receive basic life insurance and personal accident insurance coverage in the amount of two times their annual salary rounded up to the nearest $1,000.

In addition, associates receive basic life and personal accident insurance of two times their annual salary rounded up to the nearest US$50,000 and company-provided business travel accident insurance, under our U.S. plan. Additional life insurance is available at competitive rates.
